Martin Fredric Hauberg, II, 66 of Nebraska City, Nebraska, formerly of Denver, Colorado, El Paso, Texas, Ankara, Turkey, Osceola, Nebraska, Grinnell, Iowa, Tucson, Arizona and Flagstaff, Arizona passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016 surrounded by his family at the Golden Living Center in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Martin was born June 21, 1949 in Denver, Colorado to Harold John and Lorene Faye (Peterson) Hauberg. He attended Nebraska City High School and Palo Verde High School in Tucson, Arizona graduating in 1967. Martin worked as a concrete finisher for multiple companies across the country retiring in 2014. He enjoyed hiking, reading science fiction books, river rafting, camping water skiing, boating, shooting pool and guns and visiting with family and friends. The last few years Martin’s health started to decline and he wasn’t able to do the things he enjoyed.
Preceding Martin in passing were his grandparents, Nicolena (Moeller) and Martin Hauberg, I of Talmage, Nebraska; Louie and Margaret Peterson of Nebraska City, Nebraska; mother, Lorene Hauberg; aunts, Jackie (Peterson) Briley; Jessina (Hauberg) and Art Hobbie; Marcia (Peterson) Pickering ; cousin, Roger Peterson and Don Hobbie.
Survivors include his father, Harold John Hauberg of Nebraska City, Nebraska; sisters, Anne Montag of Stanton, Nebraska, Amy Lou Hauberg of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Margaret Marie Hauberg of Wall Lake, Iowa; nieces, Rebecca (Rick) Spotanski, Angela (Aaron) Kading and Tonille (Nick) Campanelli; nephews, Mitchell (Lori) Miller, Eric (Janelle) Miller, Allen (Bobbie) Scott, Jonathan Gadsden; grand-nieces, Marissa Spotanski, Mollie Spotanski, Bianca Kading, Hallie Kading, Kendra Miller, Alexandra Scott; grand-nephews, Marcus Spotanski, Zack Scott, Bryant Scott, Dastin Lawler, Asher Lawler, Carter Kading, Jacob Miller, Travis Miller; cousins, Cindy (Briley) Burkhart, Kurt Briley, Chris Briley, Hank Briley, Sally (Briley) Hutchens, Mary (Pickering) Riefler, Debbie (Peterson) Kemper, Angie (Peterson) Purdy, Louie Peterson, Joseph Pickering and Jack Hobbie; uncle and aunt, Roger and Annie Peterson; uncle, Don Pickering, extended relatives and many friends.
