Zola Fern Wright, 91 years, 3 months and 18 months, of Nebraska City, Nebraska, passed away on November 1, 2016, at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, Nebraska.
Zola Fern Rader was born at the family home on July 12, 1925, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, the daughter of James G. and Naomi E. (Cadle) Rader. She graduated from the Nebraska City High School and attended the University of Nebraska in Omaha. On February 17, 1945, Zola and Leon Roy Wright were united in marriage. To their union they had three children: Juanita, Leon Jr., and Kelley. They made their home in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Zola had worked in the kitchen at the Nebraska City School for Visually Impaired and after retiring was the homemaker for her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and raising flowers in her garden. Zola was preceded in her death by her father, on October 2, 1986; mother, on May 6, 1989; and husband, March 17, 2013.
Survivors of Zola include her children: daughter, Juanita Schnitzer and husband Eugene of Nebraska City, Nebraska, Leon Roy Wright, Jr. and wife Debbie of Nebraska City, Nebraska, and daughter, Kelley Creek of Hamburg, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Minne Siemers of Kansas City, Missouri; brother-in-law, Ronald Wright and wife Donna of Nebraska City, Nebraska; other relatives; and many friends
