Arlene Mae Peacock, age 87, of Plano, Texas, passed away February 19, 2018. Arlene was born June 1, 1930, in Nebraska City, Nebraska, to Elmer Russell and Effie (Turner) Hemphill. She lived in Omaha and then St. Louis and has resided in Plano, Texas since 1977 where she was employed with Contel which later became Verizon from 1978 until her retirement in 1995 as the Staff Assistant to the President. Arlene was a member of Job Daughters and the Plano Republican Women’s Club and volunteered at the Plano Senior Center. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George E. Peacock.
She is survived by her daughters, Sheryl D. Berry and husband, Gabe W. of Plano, Texas and Tarra Foster and husband, Andrew of Chesterfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Ryan Gabriel Berry and wife, Cathy, Sean Allen Berry and wife, Nikole, Parker Franklin Foster, Dawson Andrew Foster and wife, Jessica, and Haley Diann Foster; great-grandchild, Henry Allen Berry; sisters, Dona Ross and husband, Dwaine of Nebraska City, Nebraska and Sandra Leaton and husband, Nelson of Brookfield, Missouri; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
