To their union were born three children, daughter, Nancy; son, Lorin; and daughter, Patricia. They made their first home on a farm southwest of Nebraska City, moving back to the Guenther family farm in 1950 where they farmed, raised cattle and milked until they moved to Nebraska City in 1982.  Leta and Glenn received the Ak-Sar-Ben 100 year Farm Family Award in 1981. Leta  was a homemaker, secretary, proofreader, and a teacher’s aid at Smallfoot District 11, the same one-room school she and her children had attended.  Leta was a life long member of Bethel United Church of Christ having been baptized and confirmed into that fellowship.  She served as the church historian and secretary.  She was an active member of the Women’s Fellowship and also served on the Board of Christian Education and the Spiritual Counsel.
